Amy Rhodes is a British contemporary artist based in South Staffordshire, known for vibrant, colourful and expressive semi-abstract landscape and floral paintings.
Colour is at the heart of Amy’s work. She is constantly inspired by changing light, beautiful skies, flowers and the landscape around her, taking those everyday moments into the studio and turning them into paintings that sit somewhere between reality and imagination.
Amy’s paintings begin with landscape, but move beyond literal representation. Working from photographs, memories and observation, she uses colour, mark and composition to capture the feeling of a place rather than simply how it looks.
